MILOS MR2K roof structure takes centre stage at this year’s Sausage and Cider Festival with HTS Creative Production.

The UK’s only touring Sausage & Cider Festival rolled out the MILOS MR2K roof structure with HTS to 15 locations during the 2025 season. Commencing in Wollaton Park, Nottingham, at the end of May and concluding in St Nicholas Park, Warwick, last month.  Festival goers indulged in a variety of sausages and ciders from around the world whilst grooving away to live music and DJs over a three-day weekender!

As one of the UK’s most popular summer events - the Sausage and Cider Festival demands a stage set-up that delivers both spectacle and safety.  HTS were commissioned to deliver the stage structures for all locations, working closely with PKUK, who provided full production support, including lighting, sound, and video.

HTS deployed their MILOS MR2K 12mtr x 10mtr roof system, equipped with tech sheds and an access ramp, to provide a robust, visually impressive structure capable of handling the demands of up to 10,000 KG of live music, lighting, and sound equipment, as well as the unpredictable British weather!

The MR2K is part of MILOS’s renowned range of roof systems designed for rapid deployment, high load capacities, and outstanding stability.  Its modular design allowed HTS to create a dynamic stage environment that supported headline performances while maintaining a sleek, professional look and the perfect backdrop to a vigorous tour schedule spanning locations across the British Isles from Southend to Aberdeen! The MR2K was the ideal choice to offer the flexibility and ease of assembly for events of this scale and duration on the road.

This year’s event showcased over 30 different ciders from small independent vendors to nationally recognised brands, offering an array of flavours. This was perfectly complemented by over 20 different varieties of sausages from traditional options to the more exotic.

The festival’s blueprint delivered three separate events each weekend, featuring live music and entertainment from some of the UK’s best tribute bands, DJs, and headline acts.  The 26-piece Ibiza Orchestra kicked off proceedings on the Friday evening with classic Ibiza anthems, followed by the infamous Sausage and Cider Festival on Saturday night, graced by DJs such as Chris Moyles, Craig Charles, and headline acts from Scouting for Girls to Professor Green, and many others!  Sundays were all about adding a bit of a country and western vibe with ‘Summer in Nashville’ taking over the main stage to close out the weekend!

Rupert Tetlaw – Project Manager at Henely Theatre Services said:
"Helping to deliver a 15-week tour of this scale across the UK has been a fantastic achievement. From the initial planning stages right through to the final live shows, everything came together seamlessly. We were fortunate to have such an exceptional team of freelancers alongside us - their dedication and professionalism made all the difference on the road. Working with PKUK was a real pleasure too; their collaboration and attention to detail helped ensure every event ran smoothly.

The MILOS MR2K staging system proved to be a game-changer for us - its adaptability and flexibility meant we could confidently tackle the wide range of ground conditions at each site. Not only did it perform brilliantly, but it looked fantastic, and the end client was absolutely delighted with the result. We can't wait to do it all again next year!"

With thousands of festival-goers enjoying this event across the country, the 2025 Sausage and Cider Festival once again showed how great staging and production come together to elevate the entire experience. 2026 is set to be an even bigger year for the organisers with new locations and 25 dates already scheduled for another banging sizzler on the festival scene!
